Interested in a workout program for your child that is fun, wears them out, teaches them valuable life lessons and they can do with their friends? Then CrossFit Kids is the program you’ve been waiting for! Classes are broken down into three groups based on age and maturity level.
Pre-K Class is meant for kids roughly between the ages of 3 and 5. Classes meet three times per week for 20-minutes and the core focus is really just having fun. We will layer in the CrossFit movements to the games played so that kids are squatting, jumping and learning basic gymnastic skills every time they come in!
Kids Class is meant for kids roughly between 5 and 12. Classes will meet three times a week for 40-minutes and begin to focus on the 10 Foundational Movements of CrossFit Kids. Focus will still be on having fun, and we will begin to introduce light lifting sessions to the classes.
CrossFit Teens is meant for our 12 to 18 year old group. The class will meet five times a week for an hour and look similar to our Adult CrossFit classes, except that we will be allotting time in class for higher level skill work and challenge sessions after the workout that will aim to improve skills and build character. Additionally, we will discuss the importance of nutrition and scholastic studies in class.
Teens Weightlifting is by invite only. In order to be invited your teen needs to display coachability and discipline in the CrossFit Teens class first. This class will meet twice a week for one hour with the goal of adding volume and repetition, taking advantage of the athlete’s youth and ability to build strength and recover faster than their adult counterparts. Class will focus on the back squat and deadlift as they are the two lifts that transfer the most to athletic skill and development. The goal will be to set a new PR in each lift, every week.
