Throughout most my life I’ve been active in some type of activity. In Elementary I played Soccer for several years. Through middle school and highschool I ran Cross Country and Track. I wasn’t necessarily someone who had the push back then to win.
Once I graduated I picked up Triathlon training and some weight training. Did that for several years but eventually came to burn out on the long cardio only type workouts. Picked up Crossfit in 2012 as it looked like a balance of training and have been doing it since.
Although I have no highlights in highschool or college sports, I have manage to set weightlifting records on the state level, and have Qualified for the Crossfit Semi-Finals with a team in 2021.
My turning point came in the way of proving to myself that I still could be able to Excel in Crossfit where I couldn’t as a kid in Cross Country and Track.
A funny to that to was I was tired of being the skinny kid at 135 lbs at 18 years old.
Through years of perseverance and training I put on nearly 60lbs and have tripled if not more my strength.
I love seeing coaching from both spectrums of fitness. Whether someone comes in brand new and hasn’t worked out ever in years and seeing them stick to it and create habits that will ultimately improve their life.
Also from the Competitors end and seeing people want to test what they’re capable of day-in and day-out.
